As many of you will be aware, myself and the other Billericay borough and county councillors usually hold a monthly surgery on the last Saturday of each month at Billericay Library.
It will not surprise any of you, I am sure, to hear that we have been advised to cancel these for the foreseeable future.
I am still contactable, however, and if anyone needs any help or assistance you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07769 651708. I am still dealing with casework and in daily contact with Basildon officers, so please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any problems.
In the meantime, remember that we’re British. Listen to the official advice (not the talking heads on the telly or the armchair experts on social media!), there is no need to panic buy – there is plenty of food in the country and, as unpleasant as Covid-19 is, even if you get it you are not going to need any more toilet paper than you usually do. Let’s all just keep calm and carry on. Be kind to one another, look out for your family, friends and neighbours, and remember that, while this is a testing time, we will get through it if we can just keep our heads.
